FAQs
Answers before moving day.
When To Schedule?
The earlier the better! 2-4 weeks is what we usually prefer, but if you plan on moving during our peak times which is summer, end of the month or a weekend, please call us 4-6 weeks before your planned date.
Do I Need An Estimate?
We usually can give you a pretty accurate quote over the phone based on the information and inventory you provide. We do suggest an on-site estimate if you have a larger home (4+ bedrooms), commercial move (office space) or any unusual items (pool table, piano, hot tubs ect.) Estimates are non-binding and free of charge.
Accepted Payments?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa-Mastercard – American Express – Discover), cash or cashier’s check/money order. Personal checks, Zelle, Cash App and other payment options are available.
What should I tell movers before an apartment move?
Share the floor level, elevator or stair access, parking rules, loading zone distance, building move hours, large furniture, and whether the building requires a reservation or certificate.
Can you help with apartment packing?
Yes. Packing help can be included for kitchens, fragile items, closets, office areas, or the whole apartment when schedule and crew availability allow.
Do apartment movers handle condos too?
Yes. Condo moves often have similar access needs, including elevators, parking, building rules, hallway protection, and move-in or move-out windows.
Can you handle small apartment moves?
Yes. Small moves still need the right crew plan, access details, and timing. Share the inventory and building details during the estimate.
How should confidential documents be prepared for a business move?
Keep sensitive documents in clearly labeled, closed containers and tell the team which items need special handling or placement. If storage is part of the move, note that during the estimate so the plan can account for timing and access.
Can you move an office outside normal business hours?
Yes, when scheduling allows. Evening and weekend move options can reduce disruption for employees, customers, and building operations.
What happens if specialized equipment gets damaged during a commercial move?
Tell the team right away so the concern can be documented and reviewed. For sensitive technology, share handling details with the moving coordinator before moving day.
Do you handle commercial moves in Seattle and Bellevue?
Yes. A Perfect Mover plans commercial relocations across the Seattle area, including Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Everett, and nearby King and Snohomish County locations.
What should an office have ready before moving day?
Have a main point of contact, a list of areas being moved, any building access instructions, elevator or loading information, and notes about items that need special care or specific placement.
Can office moves happen after hours?
Yes, when scheduling allows. Evening or weekend timing can help reduce disruption for employees, customers, and building operations.
How is an office move different from a general commercial move?
Office moving focuses on workplace-specific details such as desks, seating, files, technology coordination, floor plans, labeling, employee prep, and getting the new workspace organized.
Do you handle office moves in Bellevue and Seattle?
Yes. A Perfect Mover plans office moves in Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Everett, and nearby King and Snohomish County business locations.
Can I book packing without a full-service move?
Ask during the estimate. Packing scope depends on schedule, crew availability, location, and whether packing is connected to a move with A Perfect Mover.
Do you offer partial packing services?
Yes. Many customers only need help with kitchens, fragile items, offices, heavy books, artwork, or the rooms that take the longest to pack.
Can packing help include boxes and supplies?
Packing supplies can be discussed during the quote process. Share what rooms, fragile items, and special pieces need help so the team can plan materials and timing.
Do you provide packing services for offices?
Yes. Office packing can include files, supplies, desk items, common areas, and labeling support when the move plan includes those details.
When should storage be part of a move?
Storage can help when closing dates, lease dates, remodeling, travel, office schedules, or long-distance delivery timing create a gap between pickup and final delivery.
Can packing be included before storage?
Yes. Packing and labeling can be discussed during the estimate so items are prepared for storage timing, loading order, and later delivery.
Can storage support commercial or office moves?
Yes. Storage planning can be part of an office or commercial move when furniture, files, supplies, or equipment need a temporary pause between locations.
What details help plan moving and storage?
Share pickup and delivery timing, what needs storage, any priority items, packing needs, access at each address, and whether the storage stop is short term or tied to a larger move.
What affects a long-distance moving quote?
The main factors are inventory size, distance, access at pickup and delivery, packing needs, storage timing, stairs or elevators, and any items that need special handling.
Can packing and storage be part of a long-distance move?
Yes. Packing and storage can be included when the move needs more protection, better organization, or a gap between pickup and delivery dates.
Can you give an exact delivery date for a long-distance move?
Exact timing depends on the move scope, destination, access, schedule, and any storage needs. A Perfect Mover discusses expected timing during the quote process so you know what factors can affect delivery.
What should I prepare before requesting a long-distance moving quote?
Prepare pickup and delivery locations, target timing, inventory, access notes, packing needs, storage timing, large or fragile items, and any deadlines that affect delivery.
Can a long-distance move include an apartment or office?
Yes. Share the building type, elevator or stair access, parking rules, loading areas, and any office or apartment requirements so the route plan reflects the real access needs.
Do you offer same-day junk removal or moving services?
Yes, we do offer same-day services when our schedule allows it. Availability can vary based on location, time of year, and our current bookings, so we recommend calling as early as possible if you need something urgent.
How do I prepare my items before junk removal?
There’s no need to do much—just separate the items you want us to take. If you have hazardous materials, liquids, or anything questionable, give us a call ahead of time so we can advise you. We’ll handle the heavy lifting and removal.
What types of items are not accepted for disposal?
We cannot take hazardous waste, chemicals, paint, gasoline, asbestos, or any items restricted by local or federal regulations. If you're unsure about a particular item, we’re happy to check for you before pickup.
